The Green New Deal Rises Again

1.What is his topic?

Thomas L. Friedman is pointing out the view of Green New Deal in different aspects. For example, he refers to the population rises in the future, increase of the temperature, consuming the resources by the population of the recent Earth. Also describes about how we can control the resources for the benefits of the human life. Therefore, his topic relates mainly to the "Manage the unavoidable aspects and avoid the unmanageable ones of the Earth".
2. What are his values?

His simple set of goal was about "the four zeroes."
1. Zero-net energy buildings: refers to the building that can produce as much energy as the humans consume.
2. Zero-waste manufacturing: manufacturers designs and builds products that use fewer raw materials and that can be disassembled and recycled.

3. A zero-carbon grid: use renewable power generation at a utility scale with some consumers putting up their own solar panels and windmills.
4. Zero-emissions transportation: a result of combining electric vehicles and electric public transportation with a zero-carbon grid.
He also says to forget the space race and says that no need of man, or Forget the Space Race. We don’t need a man, or woman, on Mars. We need an Earth Race — a free-market competition to ensure that mankind can continue to thrive on Earth.
